Education and uniforms
Many kids are left behind from free government education because their parents can’t afford basic uniform, shoes and stationary. Distribution of school uniforms and shoes to deservable students in Zaida, KPK, Pakistan. Truman Foundation also has sponsored multiple students at early stage of education and university.
A little more is needed to stay the course and at par with their peers. Truman Foundation believes in seeing the holistic picture and being committed to the cause. And so … much needed winter-wear for school was distributed to children in another surprise giveaway event.
With the help of donors from Canada and volunteers from Pakistan, Truman Foundation was able to deliver the winter clothing to 84 students from deserving families. The students belong to one of the only public middle schools in Swabi, KPK, Pakistan. Special thanks to the local organizers who delivered strong speeches on the topic of higher education. Additional Deputy Commissioner Bashir Ahmad Khan and District Mayor Ataullah Khan assisted greatly in making this possible.
The greatest of all successes however lay in noticing the on-going progress of the pupils; against all odds and in the midst of a pandemic, these students have continued their education and proudly wore their uniforms while expressing their desire to study further.
Truman Foundation is glad to be the patron of such zestful youth.
